As a Partner, Financial Advisor, and Chief Compliance Officer at Boyd Wealth Management, I specialize in financial planning, tax planning, and business retirement plans. With over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, I previously worked at Northwestern Mutual. I have always been a bit of a math geek and even started college as a math major. I quickly realized that I was more interested in the practical applications instead of theory and began looking for alternatives that I could be passionate about. It wasn't long before I found a perfect fit in Business and Finance. I believe that the greatest value I can provide for our clients is making the complex simple.
After completing my Bachelor of Business Administration, I went on to earn both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Financial Services (MSFS). I love the mix of creativity, math, and learning that is required each day to successfully advise clients on their financial plan and investments.
Over the course of my career, I have received several certifications and designations to further advance my expertise in financial services. These include the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification, the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation, the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, the Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designation, the Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) designation, the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designation, the Registered Health Underwriter® (RHU®) designation, and the Registered Employee Benefits Consultant® (REBC®) designation.
I currently live in Roseville with my girlfriend Shannon. In my free time, I enjoy reading (my Amazon recommendations are always an interesting combination of business/finance/investing books mixed with a lot of science fiction and fantasy) and watching basketball and football. I am a long-suffering Cincinnati Bengals fan, but there's a glimmer of hope now that we have Joe Burrow!
